I was very lucky to be out at Haras du Pin last week watching the final training preparations before the New Zealand Event Team headed for Paris. 

I met the most lovely and seriously talented rider while I was there and would like to ask if there are any of you Eventing enthusiasts out there who would join me in helping her secure some financial backing to compete at Burghley in September.

Monica and Artist were flow from their base in the USA as the 5th rider for the New Zealand Eventing Team at the Paris Olympics.

Now their duties are complete they have an opportunity to make the most of being on foreign soil, with a fit and well-prepared horse... and tackle arguably the toughest event in the world?

THE 2024 BURGHLEY HORSE TRIALS

4 - 8th September 2024

Monica and Artist are a great team and have already competed at the highest level of the sport.

Following their team bronze medal at the World Championships 2022, they were 7th at Maryland 5* 2023 and most recently 7th again at Kentucky 5* this April.

Burghley is considered by many to be the pinnacle of our sport and will be their biggest challenge yet.
